Our Beliefs
Meet Our Pastor
Derek Chase is the lead pastor of Yosemite New Life Church of the Nazarene in Oakhurst, California. Originally from the mountains of West Virginia, he spent over a decade in the mining industry before responding to God’s call to pastoral ministry. Derek earned a Master’s in Ministry from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and was ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in April 2024. Derek loves helping people take their next step in following Jesus, whether they’ve walked with Him for years or are exploring faith for the first time. He and his wife, Brittany, have five children — Brooklyn, Jackson, Rylee, Angelina, and Londyn and are thankful to serve the Oakhurst community together.
